I love truck (too!)-Adventures by boat & road, MA, RI, CT, NY

We got up super bright and early to start the days adventures from Swansea to New London, CT to take the ferry to Long Island.  Brian got us up at 6 and had coffee ready and we hit the road.  We watched the sunrise through MA, RI and CT and got to the ferry a bit early and had some time to poke around.  It will be clear from the amount of photos and videos are on this post how much I love the truck.  I loved being in it with all its squeaky noises and almost human like character.   But I also loved making pictures in it - the windows framed the landscape so perfectly, the lines were clean and deliberate, and the windows and mirrors with all the reflections made for a little piece of road trip shooting heaven.

Once off the ferry, we toodled around the quaint town of Greenport, hit the jail and borrowed a garbage can tripod from the brewery took care of some shipping and ordering for Kyle, and attempted a ride on the carousel.

Then off for a mostly beautiful and surprisingly long drive down Long Island.  We tried to stop at vineyards for a little tasting or two but found them mostly closed (probably for the best), did a little thrifting and picked up lunch at sweet little farm stand.

The original plan was to stay at one Kyle's friends beach house, but that fell through, so it worked out great when I emailed my Hampshire friend Hop and he and his wife Carrie and sweet as can be daughter Beatrix welcomed us with open arms and a delicious dinner.  Unfortunately we got their too late to shoot, but I was able to the next morning.
