Once off the ferry, we toodled around the quaint town of Greenport, hit the jail and borrowed a garbage can tripod from the brewery took care of some shipping and ordering for Kyle, and attempted a ride on the carousel.
Then off for a mostly beautiful and surprisingly long drive down Long Island. We tried to stop at vineyards for a little tasting or two but found them mostly closed (probably for the best), did a little thrifting and picked up lunch at sweet little farm stand.
The original plan was to stay at one Kyle's friends beach house, but that fell through, so it worked out great when I emailed my Hampshire friend Hop and he and his wife Carrie and sweet as can be daughter Beatrix welcomed us with open arms and a delicious dinner. Unfortunately we got their too late to shoot, but I was able to the next morning.
