Adventures in Hinsdale, NH & Brattleboro, VT

I woke up to the smell of bacon - I'm pretty sure life doesn't get much better than that.  Deb made a wonderful breakfast, although we all struggled to eat because it was getting to be record hot again.  Afterwards, I shot their portrait.

Then headed across the field for a studio visit with Deb and tour of Wingate Studio with Peter.   Peter's parents live in the house across the way, and Wingate is in the attached barns.  Deb has created an outdoor workspace for some giant and stunning pieces she is working on.

Then off to Brattleboro to photograph Tom.  I met him when I was renovating my house and he worked at Habitat for Humanity's restore where I was a regular.  He made me a fresh blueberry coconut smoothie and then we headed out to cool down in this beautiful waterfall on the river.  It was really fun to catch up and also to stay cool ...

Then back to Wingate to have some lunch relax in the air conditioned studio and fetch Deb and Peter for a early evening swim and hike and then another amazing dinner and a somewhat early sleep.

  1. I heart Wingate! The third picture down is an art piece by Wendy Miller.
