Leaving the fairgrounds, Dallas & I lost Zach, Emma and the gays, but found Wayne and Louise. It was Louises' birthday, and the tradition in New Orleans is for people to pin money to the birthday girl/boys shirt with a safety pin. A tradition I think I will start here in Maine as well. She bought one of Dallas' neighbors, Miss Beverly, crawfish beignets - I'm not entirely sure the reason, except that apparently they are her favorite. Miss Beverly was lovely and she also lived on the Street with both the Cyndi Lauper and Bon Jovi shrines. The music outside was a kid playing the Casio.
