Adventures in LA, day 10, 4/30 - Joshua Tree

Myth #1 I had about the desert and Southern California in general is that it is warm and sunny all the time. I had a nice lazy day (after running a few errands) around the house and in front of the fire!

Then Karin & Nadia came home to show us all of their thrift store loot.

And we had happy hour at  Pappy's & Harriet's Pioneertown Palace where the boots and flask of whiskey Pappy had on him when he died are preserved behind the bar.  Along with a sign that reads "if you cause trouble think of a number between 85 & 87".
